Drop-in service:
• Safe environment for young
people to drop in

Youth Housing Support Program:
• Housing information, assessment, referrals and
advocacy
• Transitional housing: safe and affordable medium
term accommodation in Supported Accommodation
Assistance Program (SAAP)
• On-going support / case management
• Personal care and life skills training
• Counselling and crisis resolution
• Assistance with accessing longer term accommodation
• Family mediation
• Links to other youth services
Eligibility criteria: Priority given to City of Greater
Dandenong, not excluding surrounding suburbs. Young people aged
16-25, single men and women. Self-referrals accepted, priority given
to young people with CALD backgrounds
Reconnect Young Refugees/ CMYI Program:
• An early intervention program for
refugee young people at risk of homelessness
• Assists refugees and newly arrived young people
to connect with their families, schools, peers and
community.
• Provides supports to families or parents who
are experiencing conflict or concern that the young
person may want to leave home.
Eligibility criteria: Young people aged 12-18
Refugee Youth
Pathways/ CMYI Program:
• A comprehensive support service for young refugees
aged 15-21 in transition from school to work,
education and training.
• The program is based on an early intervention
model
• Case management: worker assesses the young person’s
education and training needs; and education
and training options with relevant services such
as schools, TAFE colleges, AMES, Centrelink, Housing
agencies and Employers.
The family of the young person is encouraged
to participate in the young person’s decision-
making processes.
